Autumn Knits

A gorgeous group of girlfriends gifted me (howzat for alliteration?) this stunning yarn as a pick me up after a recent bout of ill health. See, I'm smiling - it worked! They even matched it perfectly to my current WIP (Work in Progress) ink;-) Of course I had to use a pattern designed by one of them. Scrummy, scrummy, scrummy scarf for winter.

I'm trying to perfect my "gazing thoughtfully into the distance" look but am really thinking about how badly I need a haircut after being housebound for a weeny while. My Finished Object is a jubbly winter cardy. I am such the cardy gal so am super pleased with how this turned out. Not too big, not too small - JUST right!

The weather has turned and so have my thoughts, to planning my Winter Knits.

It's true!

Yes, it's true. I will knit for tattoos. Must send this to my artist to see if we can strike a deal;-)

A joyful Christmas spent with my wider family has been and gone. Now to focus on stuff for 2011. Mainly knitting plans at this stage of the year, with a cosmopolitan in hand.

Weekend

Um yeah. I might have got another tattoo in the weekend. Apparently I am actually smiling here. The arm is now a splendid shade of bluey-green and yellow. Ewwww - monster bruise.

My hometown put on an awesome weekend of HOT sunshine. Something we don't get down here near the Capital very often. I even got to have a lunch date with my hubby. Thanks Mum & Dad for minding the grandies!

Blue and White

My love for blue and white floral burns strong and fierce. I need it in the place I rest at night...

...in my kitchen where I nourish my family...

...on my clothing to display a little of who I am...
(Schoolhouse Tunic that cost me $2 in fabric)

(Voon sundress that I haven't quite been able to fit since 3 months pregnant with my now five year old. Oh woe that I was skinnier while pregnant than now!)

(Moa blouse that I've been wearing for over seven years.)

...above where I rest...
(Burleigh plate my kids gave me for my birthday.)

...on my china for when I take time out to refresh myself...

...and permanently marked onto my body to represent my babies...
