Meme

I've been enjoying reading this meme doing the blog rounds so why not (thanks Gabes)...

What is your current obsession?
My new ukulele.
What is your weirdest obsession?
Um, I don't think I have weird obsessions - some people (like hubby) think my knitting (wife rolls
eyes - no more socks for you, fulla).
What are you wearing today?
Blue tights, my new Duncan and Prudence skirt, merino top and cardy and more wool will go on top when I go out later.
What's for dinner?
Kids are eating ham and cheese rolls in the car on the way home from the city; adults are eating chicken and feijoa curry from freezer.
What's the last thing you bought?
Bread, yoghurt, satay dip, hummus and carrots this morning.
What are you listening to right now?
At home: Hubby grinding coffee for our arvo brew, son singing nursery rhymes, daughters reading to each other (what a picture of domestic bliss - don't be fooled!).
In car: An adaptation of Wind in the Willows.
If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
Either Paris or Delhi.
Which language do you want to learn?
French and Hindi.
What do you love most about where you currently live?
My bestie and family live four doors down - perfect, my house is beautifully sunny, and we're located close to a river and bush walks.
What is your favourite colour?
Tie between blue and lavender.
What is your favourite piece of clothing in your own wardrobe?
A Voon sundress in my beloved blue and white china print - I still have 5kg to drop before I can fit it again!
What were you doing ten years ago?
Getting progressively bigger growing our first child and working for an Aid and Development agency.
Describe your personal style?
Style? Me? Um, no. Mumsy, eclectic, granny, suburban housewife, practical?

If you had £100 now, what would you spend it on?
I'd go halfies with the hubby - we're both desperately in need of new clothes. That's what having kids does to your wardrobe.
What are you going to do after this?
Take the kids into Wellington so Miss 7 can have her French lesson and we can roam the public library.
What are your favourite films?
To Kill a Mockingbird, Into the Wild, Gandhi, Loud Quiet Loud...there are plenty!
What inspires you?
People doing small things with great love (to paraphrase Mother Teresa badly), people living life without fear and actually giving a s**t about things outside the four walls of their own lives.
Your favourite books?
Anything by Rohinton Mistry - especially A Fine Balance, Margaret Atwood, John Irving, Barbara Kingsolver.
Do you collect anything?
Dust, kilos, wrinkles, grey hair, yarn, fabric, aprons, books.
What makes you follow a blog?
I like to connect with people like me but also be challenged outside of my own existence by people doing rockin' stuff. I love seeing what other busy mamas are able to create. I love staying in touch with friends that aren't local.
What was the most enjoyable thing you did today?
It will be going to the public library later this arvo.
What's your biggest regret in life?
I have two not-so-major ones: Giving up piano lessons before finishing my grades and getting my letters, not carrying on French when I started uni.

The rules:1. Respond and rework; answer the questions on your blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your invention, add one more question of your own.2. Tag eight other people.

I'm tagging anyone who reads my blog (anyone out there?) who hasn't done this yet!! Make sure you let me know so I can cruise over to read your answers!!
