It's been a funny old week. I had a minor op which will hopefully sort out, once and for all, an annoying problem. I'm feeling very grateful that we've been able to maintain a level of insurance that meant I could have this done when I needed it done, not when the public health system thought I needed it done.
Some needed distractions:
Making It...a Stripe Study Shawl which won't be stripey since I'm using a variegated yarn throughout. I couldn't resist it when I visited The Little Craft Store in Auckland recently.

How could I have never ever gone there and it's so close to home? And even closer to Rob's work! I wodner if he'll need to be dropped off in the car next week instead of riding? Nah, I didn't think so!
Oh, you must go Rach...it's the cutest little shop!
I was just reading a review of the book today. I hope you love it! Sounded like a good read.
Hope you are recovering well...wish I were nearby to bring you something for dinner. Even when minor, you still need to treat yourself gently. Would also love to compare birds.. I wonder if we have any birds in common..I suspect not!
