Finished Knitting

As much as knitting is about the journey for me, it is always immensely satisfying to get stuff finished!

A Jane Austen Dress for I6 - this was made from yarn AND fabric stash so extra satisfying.

My February Lady Sweater - quite pleased with this. It's inspired me to keep doing stuff for myself;-)

This headband will form part of a Hugs & Kisses With Love set, with some handwarmers, for a good friend returning to study in Canada. We're hoping she'll feel our love with her when she wears this soft angora/merino.

Hats

I'm in denial about the fact that Winter will eventually arrive. This Indian summer we're enjoying is superb. I'm going to crash hard when the weather gets cold and miserable.
I'm easing myself into it by knitting a couple of winter hats from 101 Designer One Skein Wonders. For once, I even have the exact yarn required in my stash!
I'm doing the New Directions Hat in Noro Kureyon. The colours are not really "me" but they are so stunning I am loving it! Later today I'll cast on the Lavender Lace Beanie in Naturally Sensation - the same yarn as my Cable Footies.
Two simple projects to take away on my long weekend sans enfants;-)
Like my new stitch markers? Thanks, Christine, for letting me have the Coffee Break ones - so glad we didn't have to have a fight to the death in the new Knit World Studio...not a good look! I've got a bad urge to break out the Shrinky Dinks and do myself another set.

Still Knitting

Truth be told, I've been in a bit of a knitting funk since going on our camping holiday.

I finished these before going:
Placket Neck Sweater from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts
(I also did a matching cotton baby hat)

Smockie based on Second Little Sublime Handknits pattern

Matching Basket Hat from 101 Designer One Skein Wonders

Baby Hat from One Skein, Baby Booties from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts

Since our holiday I've only managed to finish off the baby hat, knit a couple of dishcloths, stare blankly at M8's half finished second sock and daydream about the things I'd like to knit for myself. I'm hoping a bit of wet weather and a cooler temperature this weekend will get the knitting juices flowing again. I really need my preggie friends to start popping out little girls now.

These are what all the well-dressed eggs are wearing this winter. A bit of mindless evening knitting fun - Egg-Cozy Hats from 101 Designer One Skein Wonders.
